福島県桑折町立睦合小学校の全校児童７４人が２日、町内にある同校の学校田で稲刈りをした。遊びと学びの場に農業を、と県が取り組む「田んぼの学校」の一環だ。収穫したのは５月に植えた「ふくみらい」。子どもたちは虫やカエルを捕まえたりしながら約４０分で６アールを刈り終えた。２６日に同校で開くバザーで販売し、残りは１１月にある収穫祭で食べるという。
